Olivia Durham

Olivia Durham was born in Manhattan and moved across the Hudson to Jersey City at 6 years old.

She has attended five different schools all within walking distance of her home in McGinley Square, giving her a unique perspective on local education. Olivia will be a Senior at Lincoln High School where she is student council president, a cheerleader and helps run the EcoSchools garden. In addition, she is the Citywide Student Council officer for Lincoln.

Olivia recently graduated from the Teen Mentoring Program at Christ Hospital and she has her sights on Med School in the future. Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence are also of great interest to her.

Last summer, Olivia participated in the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program at Moody’s Corporation where she built her skills in the coding languages of python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Olivia is planning to start a Girls Who Code club at Lincoln in the coming school year.

She hopes to continue to make positive changes in her school and the local community. Olivia is of Ecuadorian, French, English and Irish decent. In her free time, she knits and plays the ukulele.
