Former Jersey City School board president, a Harvard Law School graduate, and a dedicated champion of youth civic engagement. Mussab Ali has devoted his career to promoting educational equity, community involvement, and good public policy. His efforts have significantly impacted youth and community development.
Salaar is a proud UConn Graduate and Capital Markets Associate at JPMorgan Chase. Throughout his academic and professional career, he has had a passion for working with people and empowering individuals with the tools they need to succeed. As a member of the Board of Directors at ALI, he utilizes his skills as a strategist and leader to ensure ALI provides its students with a world class educational experience.
Yaseen is a community activist who has built education programs focused on technical literacy in marginalized communities. In New Jersey he spent years implementing the ‘iPads for Residents’ program teaching developmentally disabled individuals in group homes how to use technology to improve fine motor skills, organization, and planning. He furthered these efforts in St. Louis, creating similar programs for individuals in senior living facilities.
He is currently an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company in New York City.
My name is Menat. I live in New York City – not too far from my hometown in New Jersey – where I work as a consultant! I recently graduated from Harvard, where I studied Economics, Middle Eastern Studies, and Arabic. I love thinking about and working on community organizing, issue-based advocacy, and making civic education and opportunity accessible across the world. I also love coffee, listening to podcasts, writing about the Middle East, reading, and running and Pilates.
The youngest in the State of New Jersey and first of Bengali-American descent to ever do so, Intashan Chowdhury currently serves as the Borough Administrator of the Borough of Prospect Park, NJ niched in the heart of Passaic County.
For the past seven years, Intashan has worked his way to become instrumental in local government, overseeing and managing day-to-day municipal operations, policy development and serving as a conduit between the mayor, borough council and departmental personnel ensuring proper and efficient administration of all Borough affairs for the residents of the Prospect Park community.
Intashan has been a leading voice for modernization and innovation in the government sector and has begun to gain national recognition for his innovative approach and leadership skills.
Shaina Zafar, 23, is the Co-founder/Chief Marketing Officer at JUV Consulting. She is an American-Muslim obsessed with solving problems with human-centered design, powered by Gen Z to build creative solutions. She is also a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania and wrote her thesis about impactful business ESG practices and focused on Asian/Muslim advocacy work on campus. Her advocacy work includes community-building with Muslim thought leaders and allies to supporting Asian American advocacy work.
She has spoken for major brands like L’Oréal, VF Corporation, and KPMG as well as conferences like the U.S. Travel Tourism Conference. She has been quoted in the likes of The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Business of Fashion.
