Inspired by social activist and legendary boxer, Muhammad Ali, ALI Leadership Institute first teaches young people how the government works and then provides them with the tools to change it.
This year we will have 4 cohorts: Jersey City Saturday, Jersey City Sunday, Marlton Sunday, and Edison Sunday!
Mission
Ali Leadership Institute is where the heartbeat of the city meets the pulse of change. We empower urban youth to rise as activists, organizers, and leaders through Civic Education, Leadership Literacy, and hands-on Mentorship. Help us transform the untamed energy of the streets into waves of positive change.
Fellows will receive a $400 stipend following the successful completion of the program.
Eligibility
Must be between the ages of 16 and 22 at the start date of the program (June 1st, 2026).
Must be able to attend ALL sessions from 10 AM to 2 PM in-person based on the location of the cohort selected. (i.e. all Jersey City Saturday Cohort students must be able to attend all sessions in person in Jersey City, NJ)
